Holed and somewhat porous and with some scrapes on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.


This very rare piece was struck during Constantine's return journey from Rome. The vicennalian siliquae from Heraclea are unusual in that they were apparently only struck for Constantine I, but not for his sons. Nine pieces are known, two of which are in the Ramskold collection.
